Located just beyond the paddies in the jungle below is map coordinate XU960426 where 3rd platoon had two KIA (a 3rd died years later from complications) and maybe 10 more wounded. 4th platoon possibly had one wounded. Date was 30 May 70.
The spot would be at the tip of the river as it comes south and turns east, but the east leg appears intermittent on this map, while more defined on another I have seen.
